A year of challenge and Hope
As the year 2021 draw to a close in a few hours time, I like to take this time to reflect upon the milestones that I have attained over the period. Everyone would agree that 2021 is another challenging year, even tougher than the previous years with covid escalated to an all time high plus the outburst of other variant mutation. Face masks inevitably became part and partial of our attire, like it or not. Nature reserves and parks replaced shopping malls as the hot spots for recreational activities. Birding community expanded with more promising younger generation taking up the hobby. As for me, I've taken a relatively short break in between to recharge myself before coming back recently to the birding scene. Nature is truly amazing. That feeling of being so close to the wilderness is ineffable beyond words can describe. The joy of witnessing and capturing the wild actions of eagles diving, fighting in mid-air, performing courtship ritual through prolonged hours of waiting has given me a sense of satisfaction and I am excited to share that with the community, hence it led me into the creation of Wilderness SG, to showcase the rich biodiversity that our small country has to offer. I look forward to contribute more of these actions through still photos and video footage next year. I like to share several photos that I personally like and hope you like them too. To sum it up, 2021 has been a great experience. Like many others, we all look forward to a better and promising 2022 ahead, a year that will keep everyone of us safe and healthy. Wishing all my family, relatives, friends, colleagues a very happy new year and stay happy always.
